Alison Hutson is an Environment Scientist and Assistant Manager of the Los Lunas Silvery Minnow Refugium
- She has over ten years of experience in Aquaculture
- 4 years of research experience at major universities working with genetic selection programs
- Expert in designing and implementing research projects, selecting brood stock, and production of channel X blue catfish hybrid.
- 10 years of experience with warm water fish including channel and blue catfish, flathead catfish, yellow perch, hybrid striped bass, and Rio Grande Silvery minnow.
- Accomplished career in environmental sciences and policy.
- Consistent and outstanding record in working with endangered species, securing Threatened and Endangered species permit, and conducting research with an endangered species with the goal of recovery.

Douglas Tave is an Environmental Scientist & Specialist and Manager of the Los Lunas Silvery Minnow Refugium
- Assisted in the design and planning process of the hatchery.
- Supervised the testing phase and regulating water level to create flooded areas, where the fish can spawn in a realistic natural setting.
- Received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in biology from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
- Earned a Master of Science degree in limnology from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D. in aquaculture from Auburn University.
- Worked as an aquaculturalist since 1975 in various places, including the Peace Corps, Auburn University, University of Minnesota and the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
- Authored and edited several books and articles about fish genetics.
- Founding editor of the Journal of Applied Aquaculture.
Louie Toya is an Aquaculture Technician at the Los Lunas Silvery Minnow Refugium.
- Manages the day to day operations of the hatchery.
- Conducts daily water quality work.
- Helped construct the indoor hatchery recirculating systems.
- Responsible for maintenance of facility and mechanical components of the hatchery.
- Operates water flow/recycle system for outdoor refugium to maintain water balance or to create new balanced set of flow conditions.

Grace Haggerty
- Overall responsibility for the Rio Grande Bureau Endangered Species work, including the Los Lunas silvery minnow refugium.
- Communicating with the Collaboration Program about the refugium.
- Involves entering into agreements, supervision of the Refugium Manager, etc.
